Allianz Para Trophy with the status of an ATP 500 tournament

"Strong together" is really lived here

Patrik Kühnen is not the only fan of his own tournament. Mischa Zverev also raves about his role as tournament director of the Allianz Para Trophy, which sets new standards worldwide. He is still fascinated by what the players achieve on and off the court: "I've sat in a wheelchair myself before. Hitting balls sitting down from a standing position works to some extent, but from a moving position - no chance! And then to produce this 'heavy spin' is unimaginable."

Allianz initiated the Para Trophy three years ago together with the organiser and the BMW Open and is a strong supporter of the Paralympic movement as a whole. The commitment in Munich has a special significance for Daniela Bauer, Global Head of Partnerships at Allianz: "The Para Trophy is an important tournament for us. We are all the more pleased that it is growing steadily and that the athletes have the opportunity to collect points this time. The link to the Games in Paris this year is also great."

Nico Langmann from Austria is one of the athletes that Allianz supports and promotes. He is also overwhelmed by the setting: "The idea that people with disabilities can play (competitive) sport and even make a living from it is relatively new. That's why what's happening in Munich alongside the ATP tournament is historic." Professionals from both tournaments meet here as equals, receive the same appreciation and, thanks to the many spectators, a large stage. "This movement has really given me the best time to be disabled."
