Martin De la Puente wins in the singles
The favourites prevail in the doubles
The Spaniard secured the valuable world ranking points and the prize money in a thrilling final against Gordon Reid with 2:6, 7:5, 7:6(5). The Scot had somewhat surprisingly eliminated the tournament favourite in the semi-finals and was close to matching that performance yesterday. But the world number four fought his way back and kept his nerve in the tight phases. At the award ceremony, he said that he was very happy to be here in Munich. And he promised: "See you next year in Munich". In the doubles, the number one seeded duo from France, Frederic Cattaneo / Stephane Houdet, clearly beat the German pairing of Anthony Dittmar / Christoph Wilke.
The tournament director of the Allianz Para Trophy, Mischa Zverev, was completely satisfied and thanked the participants: "You are great. Whether it was raining or cold, you were always ready, never complained and always gave your best. I'm already looking forward to the next Allianz Para Trophy." Despite the weather, a total of 20 matches, 42 sets and 337 games were played over the three days.
