The renowned Munich premium tennis club MTTC Iphitos is at home on one of the most attractive tennis courts in Germany, beautifully situated at the northern end of the English Garden. International tournaments and thrilling Davis Cup matches have made Iphitos famous in the tennis world.
Every spring, the tennis scene meets at Aumeisterweg for the BMW Open by Bitpanda, the opening tournament of the ATP series in Germany. Famous players have been guests here: John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl, Boris Becker, Roger Federer, Michael Stich and many more. But it is above all the elegant yet friendly ambience of the club that has characterised Iphitos since it was founded in 1892.
The traditional club has continued to develop and is now being interpreted as a modern tennis club by a new generation of volunteer board members and competent members. This also includes establishing the club as a platform for networking and relaxation - sporting activities at every level, events, programmes for children and young families and, last but not least, fine dining with a fantastic sun terrace. Club life at Iphitos has flair and charm. Its location on the edge of a nature reserve, its history of sporting success and, last but not least, its approx. 1,300 members promise a sporting and informal atmosphere.
MTTC Iphitos is also recognised beyond the borders of Bavaria as one of the most important addresses in the white sport. As a founding member of the 'Leading Tennis Clubs of Germany', it is a major player in this exclusive association of ten large German tennis clubs, which also includes Rochusclub Düsseldorf and TC Blau-Weiß Berlin, for example.
